And I'm hoping someone sells this because I don't think my soldering skills are up to building my own.
What I need is:
- A HAT that can accept 12VDC accessory power from a car
- Able to initialize a bootup for the Pi when power is applied
- When power is removed, able to perform a graceful shutdown
- When running, supply clean, filtered power
- Does not need UPS
- Available in the USA
I'm not concerned with where power comes from for the graceful shut-down, whether it's from on-board caps or a second tie to constant power so long as it does not continue to draw off constant power after the shutdown is complete. All I'm interested in is that when I turn the key on and accessory power is applied that the Pi5 boot, and when I turn the key off that it shut it down properly. This is being used as a music player that will need to remember what song it shut off on so it can continue when power comes back on. Can anyone point me in the right direction here? Anyone who can build these, this is definitely a market opportunity since I'm not finding anything and the Pi just screams "use me in a car!"
