Code:

root@raspberrypi:~# cat /sys/class/leds/ACT/trigger none rc-feedback kbd-scrolllock kbd-numlock kbd-capslock kbd-kanalock kbd-shiftlock kbd-altgrlock kbd-ctrllock kbd-altlock kbd-shiftllock kbd-shiftrlock kbd-ctrlllock kbd-ctrlrlock timer oneshot heartbeat backlight cpu cpu0 cpu1 cpu2 cpu3 default-on input panic actpwr [mmc0] pattern rfkill-any rfkill-none
this will show the current driver that is being used to drive the LED

in my case, its activity on mmc0

the default may have changed for when no SD card is present

also, even if its set to SD activity and no card is present, linux will still poll for a card, which causes blinks at regular intervals
