This is an update to my previous topic from over a year ago. Today I learned that Chromium has finally been updated to the point that the best adblocker (uBlock Origin) no longer works.
Downgrading the browser would usually require having a recent backup handy, but I've written a script that browses the archive repo to enable installing every possible Chromium version ever released on Pi OS. The apt-get tool cannot easily do this.Simply run the Downgrade Chromium script from Pi-Apps and choose the chromium version 139 option in the next window.
For now, I've decided to remain on Chromium 139 - the last version that will run my adblocker. This way, I can keep all my other system packages up to date while keeping chromium locked at version 139.
The script is free and open source. If you don't have the Pi-Apps tool installed yet, just follow this tutorial: https://pi-apps.io/install-app/install- ... pberry-pi/
