Don't you have a Pi ? It would offer so much more options/tools to clone your SD card !What do you do with the .img file after creating it with Win32 Disk Imager? (especially when post title says 'Windows'?)
Now you could use Pi Shrink (on your Pi) to reduce the size of your image (assuming you have enough available space to copy this huge IMG file you now have)
If you do it on windows because you miss a SD card reader, it costs from 2 euros to get one
