The board is powered via a continuous power plane on an internal layer. The current capability of the 24V to 3.3V buck converter is 3A. We haven't encountered any issues with this, even when other peripherals such as RS485, LTE module, FLASH, EEPROM, and several other interfaces are active (none of them experience operational issues when all are running simultaneously, provided the 'problematic' cards are not in the microSD slot). The issue is strictly limited to specific microSD cards that cause the system freeze. Therefore, we have ruled out power supply issues; the voltage is stable, and there are decoupling capacitors located near the card. The quirks in dmesg are card quirks and are unrelated to host controller quirks in that header file. They're also going to be unrelated to the system hang(s).
How is the SD card VDD powered, and what's the capacity of the respective 3.3v power supply?
